Great Week for LBC

This week has been great for London's LBC because of today's Rajar figures. Now 3.2% of market share of listeners, up by 0.7%, today's figures mean that creep up on their high of 3.7% since 1999. Since Chrysalis take over from ITN, LBC's average figure is 2.58%.

Here's a roundup of 2006 Q1 Figures

Hours: 6,886,000
Reach: 671,000 People per Week (6% of people in London)
Market Share: 3.2%

Source: RAJAR/RSL

As well as Today's Rajar Figures, LBC also picked up 2 Sony GOLD Awards. One Breakfast Show Award & The Live Event Coverage Award.

Nick was a bit emoticon went he recieved his award, This is what they said about the Breakfast Show.

Warm, funny and brilliantly informed with an outstanding ability to communicate
and interact with his audience. An opinionated storyteller with a journalist’s
ear. Compelling radio that strikes exactly the right balance. When he speaks the radio hums.

This what they also commented by The Boat Race Coverage on LBC

The judges all thought that this informative, atmospheric coverage bought the
whole day to life. A London event that encompasses sport, history, and
socialising was not only covered and explained in detail but made great fun to
listen to.

The person most pleased was the managing director of LBC, David Lloyd.

To win one Sony Gold is a dream, to win two is beyond comprehension. We
were thrilled that LBC's boat race coverage, an unusual programme for commercial
radio, won the day. And delighted that 'Nick Ferrari at Breakfast' won the title
it so richly deserved, beating the BBC's Today programme and proving that you
can make great talk entertaining. Our results are both a triumph for LBC and
commercial radio.

The Icing on The Cake was the high increase in Listenership.

MMM Success or Failure

MMM (Mick's Mental Mayhem), as you all know, was on last night. But, it was not the resounding success that it could have been. Everyone was congratulating Iain on his new slot, and the rest were pretty much rubbish, for instance calling poo, poo, wee, wee down the phone,

It will be on next week, and it will hopefully end up being more random.

James Max's New Slot?

James Max, Semi-Finalist on the first series of the apprentice could have got a new slot according to LBC's Presenter List. He might have replaced Elliot Moss on the 7pm Sundays slot. The program will be the same but with a new presenter.

MMM Tonight 10pm-1am

As has been said on this blog, Mr Iain Lee is getting another show, sundays from 10-1, but will it be a success? Will it be a complete and utter flop? And will Yasser from Stratford be on for half an hour? Only time will tell. Just make sure to tune in tonight, and hope that he takes over fridays from the dreadful psychic show.

Barry is Back

"Barry is Back"

Today Barry from The Watford came back on the phone & had his ban lifted. This started when his son called in and told Iain that Barry should come back. He cut himself off then Iain called him again. And Barry from The Watford went on the phone, he was a bit on the downer & aplogised to Iain to lots of things.

This could see Yasser may lose his limelight to Barry

The problem with old ones with it takes very long to log in & it's doesn't have POP3 access. So I couldn't be bothered to read them. But that's about to change.

Now with a Google Mail e-mail address I could access it faster & with my private account. So please e-mail me about anything you like (Maybe Not Anything but What The Heck).

Here's my new e-mail address
